What makes a family a family? Is it blood, or is it something more?
Despite everything Ben has going for him, his transition into fatherhood has reignited a lurking question: who is his biological family? Wanting his own daughter to know who her family is, Ben embarks on a quest to find out where he came from. He soon discovers his mom died during childbirth and that he has a brother named Peter. As the brothers catch up on the particulars of their pasts, their friendship grows. Ben slowly undergoes a personal awakening as he learns to accept and value something more; something greater than he thought his journey was about. However, just as their relationship is progressing, Ben must confront the totally unexpected. Absorbing and heartfelt, For Grace captures a spirit rarely felt in cinema—always feeling genuine without being overly sentimental. It is about identity, about closure, and about family.
