An innocent man accused of a horrendous act.
Lucas (Mikkelsen) has lived in his small, tight-knit community all his life. He has formed lifelong friendships, goes on regular hunting trips and is a divorced daycare worker hoping to win the custody of his son. The children under his care adore Lucas, including Klara, the young daughter of Lucas’ friend Theo. When Klara innocently kisses Lucas on the lips one day while he walks her home, a shocked Lucas tells her that only mommies and daddies kiss that way. But that one moment sparks a modern-day witch hunt with Lucas as the target.
Thomas Vinterberg (The Celebration) directs the incomparable Mads Mikkelsen (Casino Royale)—who won the Best Actor Prize in Cannes for this performance—in a powerful story about an innocent man, wrongly accused.
